Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Ronald Lamola, has expressed outrage and condemnation over two separate horrific crime incidents in Soshanguve and Glenmore, KwaZulu-Natal.

In Soshanguve, two young children, a man, and a woman were brutally murdered, with four others injured. Minister Lamola described the incident as "heinous and senseless" and called for swift action from law enforcement to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The Minister extended his deepest sympathies to the families of the deceased and injured, emphasizing the department's commitment to ensuring justice is served. He highlighted the importance of protecting children's rights, especially during Child Protection Week.

In the second incident, a family was attacked in Glenmore, allegedly due to their support for Palestine. A woman was killed, and her husband and son were attempted to be murdered. Minister Lamola condemned this act as a blatant attack on South Africa's constitutionally-guaranteed rights to freedom of association, expression, and political choice. He called for a thorough investigation and prosecution to ensure justice is served.

The Ministry of Justice and Correctional Services is committed to working tirelessly to eliminate evil and ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens, especially children.
